Joseph and Kendra Duggar Make Instagram Debut With Rare Pic of Son
Trying something new! Joseph and Kendra Duggar joined the rest of their Counting On costars on Instagram — and their first-ever upload was a post of their baby boy.
“We finally decided to get social media! Still trying figure out how it works,” the couple captioned the pic from their joint account. “Looking forward to keeping y’all updated on our little family.”
In their first photo, 8-month-old Garrett looked up at the camera in a blue onesie.
Us Weekly confirmed that he joined the Duggar family in June 2018. “Kendra delivered yesterday without complications,” a rep for the family told Us exclusively at the time. “Mom and baby are both doing great.”
The couple, who tied the knot in September 2017, added in a joint statement to Us: “No matter how many times we’ve experienced the joy of babies born in our families, there’s nothing comparable to the joy in our hearts today! Children truly are a gift from God. We are so thankful for his safe arrival and this new journey as parents.”
Us broke the news in December 2017 that Joseph, 24, and Kendra, 20, were expecting their first child.

“During this season that we are celebrating the birth of Christ, we are so excited to share with you that we are expecting the gift of a child ourselves!” they said at the time. “Wow, it’s so exciting! We’ve both always loved children and seen them as a real blessing from God. It’s so surreal to think of being parents and having our own little one. We cannot wait to see this new baby!”
The reality stars revealed the gender of their baby to Us two months later. “We are so happy to learn that our firstborn is a boy!” they gushed. “Our minds are already racing toward all the future memories to be made with this little guy! Most of all, we are already asking God to bless him and help us grow him into a loving and faithful follower of Christ!”
Counting On season 4 airs on TLC on Monday nights at 9 p.m. ET.
